Nursery

We are one week to the due date and operation "prep the house for baby" is pretty much complete!  That is leaving us with some quiet evenings and curious anticipation of when our little man will make his debut.  Cory will occasionally rub my tummy and say "Come out and play!"  We are so excited to meet this little guy.  But until then, here are some pics of the nursery we made for baby Spit.

Close up of the dresser Cory refinished (proud wife)

Katie crocheted this cute little elephant (proud sister)

and I found this "butterfly orb" on Etsy.  Hopefully it is as entertaining to Spit as it is to me.  I love it.

Cory's parents got us this super comfy chair.  Thank you!

More Etsy love - this quote pretty much sums up how we feel.  "First we had each other, then we had YOU, now we have everything."

Memorial Day

While I tend to believe a good rafting trip is the very best way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend (snow-melt!), since that wasn't an option for me this year my awesome family kindly made the trek to Tri-Cities and came camping so we could spend some time together.

Campfire, stories, smores, a little too much food, and lots of quality time made for a great weekend.  I feel so lucky to have you close!

Sarah and I couldn't resist at least a little water time - we took the kayaks (and, conveniently, our babes) out on the lake. :)

Pregnancy Photos

In May, our good friend Sarah Ritchie offered to take some photos for us.  I think she did a great job capturing a few shots of this very new and exciting time in our life.  Thank you, Sarah!

P.S.  Not everyone has friends with as much taste as Sarah... to put it mildly...  I found these awkward pregnancy family photos the other day and Cory and I got a good laugh out of them (love the captions) - hope you will too. :)
